Subject: daz platinum club- auto renewal??

hi, i was wondering if this had happened to anyone else? i could have sworn my account was set up for auto renewal and i had been seeing that when i looked at my account whenever i i looked it up but when i logged on tuesday night at 11:30pm this was NOT stated on the screen. when i tried to renew by ordering a subscription it would not let me do it as i did not have an active platinum account. i wrote to daz last but havent heard back yet. however i did get an email back that an order for the monthly subscripption was placed on 10/15 at 21:10 (that is 9:10 pm 3 hours from now). the order was canceleed because lack of an address. i wonder if they were trying to help me? do you think they will let me renew by phone? terry

Yep ... I just ran into this today. I was expecting to be auto-renewed as well. I too could not renew manually either because it said I was not a current platinum club member. My anniversary date was today. Apparently, Daz can not get authorization for platinum club purchases for Visa/Mastercard. Only Discover and Amex. Soooo, to make a long story short, I just sent them money from my PayPal account and all was well within about 15 minutes. They even added all of the bonus-pack items to my account screen. CALL THEM! It's about 5000% faster. I never email them, because a) It's a LOT slower, b) I'm impatient as hell, and c) It cost me about 25 cents. -Tim

There's a link on your account page that you have to click to validate that you want to continue being a member using your credit card.

Call them! They are so good about taking care of mistakes. Like I orders 2 yearly PC memberships through paypal. Within 15 mi n's after call the order at paypal was for one= was a refund. ((((Which for some weird reason PayPal keeps a hold on that for 3-days?)))))

Same problem here. Button in the account page was checked but disappeared after expiration of the membership, but I,m no longer a member. And I,m from germany so I don,t think that it would be a good idea to call them. Some weeks ago I paid 21$ for a 3 minute call from mexico to germany. I don,t want to pay so much money for something thats not my fault. I wish Anne Marie or/and Reba were back at daz. Fastest support was resolving a problem and sending a mail within 20 minutes. That was good supporting! And now ..??!! Robert

Robert: Good point, I often forget about our foreign brethren. Sorry. In your case, I would just PayPal them the money (Paypal IS international, right) and in the notes section just write a brief comment to tell them what happened.
