Post any bryce animations you have made in this thread. It will be cool and we can refer back to it in the future. Please post direct links, and if you want to post someone else's work, please ask them before doing so. let's get this started!

Pretty soon this thread will be well buried. I wish when we posted to a thread that it would come back to the top of the stack so that posted to threads stayed current.

GROINGRINDER posted Wed, 15 October 2003 at 8:53 PM

The blob animation is mighty cool. I can get lost in the reflections. Did you add the guy on the floor looking up at the blobs, or is he part of the hdri image?

madmax_br5 posted Wed, 15 October 2003 at 8:54 PM

just check "mark all read" at the top of the forums before you leave every day. Then new posts show up until you click it again.

Cool. Thanks. Is renderring.com your site. I try to go to the main page and get a blank.

woodhurst posted Thu, 16 October 2003 at 12:11 AM

wow that HDRI animation is awesome!!!

drawbridgep posted Thu, 16 October 2003 at 5:40 AM

This was a really short WIP to show how my jumpship would changeto horizontal flight.

These two are showing one of ships on fly by. One and Two

And the Thunderbird 3 model I made.

All the above have still in my gallery. The jump ship is in my free
stuff.

Check out xceiverx for loads of animations using some of my models.

I love the marauder movie!!!

GROINGRINDER posted Thu, 16 October 2003 at 8:37 AM

The jumpship movie is not a supported format in my media player, the ship one movie I cannot see because it is too dark, but I love the Thunderbird movie I just wish there was more of it.

drawbridgep posted Thu, 16 October 2003 at 10:00 AM

Jumpship - You ain't missing much. Bit weird though. Thought I used the same compression. Maybe MPEG2. As for ship one. Yeah it is dark. I do that to hide the fact I cheated on the texture. Probably is too dark on a CRT, but looks okish on my LCD. Thunderbird... Maybe I'll do a bigger one. Anyone know how to animate the smoke?

This is good for a laugh. animations I made ages ago before I really knew, er anything....

movies

Had a computer problem since then and lost all the models. The mpg's are all I have left to show. :-(
The minisub one is a bit large I'm afraid. But I quite like it. The sub was modeled from Bryce primitives.

The Ring - When using Clays Volumetric Fire to get my affect of rolling fire. I dont move the sphere around or bring it closer, its all in enlargeing and spin the sphere just alittle to the left or right or up and down.I find if you pull it towards you it wont have the rolling affect. I hope you can understand what im saying hehe.Peace

Speaking of fire... :) Well, the explosions in this clip are stock ParticleIllusion effects, but the render and tower animation in this are directly out of Bryce. (The model of the temple is a download from scifi3d.theforce.net ) This effect was for a Episode III Spoof trailer that a friend made. He also made use of the Corridor seen earlier. You can see the finished video here: http://www.durbnpoisn.com/films/EpIIITrailer/index.asp Have fun. (1.5Meg AVI)

Catlin mc that was a fabulous little clip. Someone you know playing the bass on that?

danamo posted Thu, 16 October 2003 at 11:37 PM

Wow! You guys are all doing some fantastic work!

shadowdragonlord posted Fri, 17 October 2003 at 7:35 AM

(swears, says words that he wouldn't normally use in front of Catlin) I have yet to find a palace to host animations, how does one do such a thing? I have Gigabytes of Bryce Texures in motion, and skies, and whatever...

Into The Fire - Animation

catlin_mc posted Fri, 17 October 2003 at 11:22 AM

Well I got to tell the truth, I made the textures and some of the props for the animation and it was ttops who kicked the life into it. I'm glad folk like it, our hope is that "The Sky at Night" will ask us to do some more work for them. There's no money in it but it looks good on the CV. 8) Catlin

Shields! - Animation

ttops posted Fri, 17 October 2003 at 5:29 PM

Some really cool stuff here, compliments too all animators. shadowdragonlord: Make a search for service providers. The trick would be to find one that charges a fixed price for a years hosting. Another very important thing is that there should be no bandwidth charges (free bandwidth). 30MB hosting including domain name, free bandwidth, POP3 mail and so on should cost no more than 30. And 100MB for 60 and the price goes on as the space... Alternatively if you're on a high end connection such as Broadband with at least 512k/Sn or more bandwidth. You could set up a server using Linux. This means you would be hosting your own web site. If you need any assistance please email me. Regards, Thomas.

Turn on the sound.

Here's an old one I did in Bryce. It's in Real Player format and so there are some artifacts. It was one of my first and it was getting very wieldy so it was never completed.

CHASED!

And here's a later one,

"The Probe Returns". Also in real format

Very cool work on both of these Dave! You got a real nice look on these, almost like traditional cell animation. :-)
