I had to do dynamic clothing for a commercial some days ago. Needed some for Michael but did not have the time to model them myself. So I skimmed through the geometries folder and tried some. Doing this, I found out that some conforming clothes work fine "right out of the geometries folder" and others need a lot of work in Max (or another 3D app). In the end I modified Wusamahs Symphony for Victoria, but it was A LOT OF WORK. Then I started testing what works and what does not. So I thought wed gather a list of products whose geometries also work as dynamic clothing without any further modifications. Here goes: DAZ Morphing Fantasy Dress for V3 Xenas Fantasy skirt for V2 (over at PoserPro) ok, thats not too much, but if there is interest in this topic, I ll post whatever I find. Cheers and happy hunting, Juergen

So far I've got the following to work by loading the Dress Figure and saving it out as a separate OBJ, with all options turned off except "Weld Body part seams": Awful Soul Minishirt Awful Soul My shirt DAZ Bikini Top and Bottom RDNA Empire Dress Jim Burton Halter Top Jim Burton Sweater Mazak`s Vest PhilC Bustier PhilC Cami Knickers PhilC Camisole PhilC Classic Wrap PhilC Corset B PhilC Gown PhilC Stockings PhilC Teddy Poserworld Cleavage dress Poserworld Leather Top Uzilite 072002 Top Note a lot of these are Victoria 1&2 conformers but all fit Victoria 3 in dynamic form, with some scaling.

There once was a cool freebie I think by phil c called dress 028. Looked like the one Kylie Minogue wears in this (terrible) "cant get you out of my head" Looks like PhilCs stuff is mostly "dynamicable". And pretty cool looking too.

Excuse me, I am new to forums and chatting and stuff, but what do entries like "bookmark.." and ".." mean? PS: Penny Dreadfuls bad habit, good habit and veil work as dynamic too.

Has anyone tried doing the same hair? Can you imagine hair that 'falls' according to gravity?
PheonixRising posted Sat, 25 October 2003 at 7:29 PM
Hair works midly well. Tends to slide way to much and usually right off the head.

Would it work if hair was modeled specifically for that? Seems if you can model clothing to be a hybrid conforming-dynamic model, hair could be done that way too.
PheonixRising posted Sat, 25 October 2003 at 7:47 PM
With alot of work it could be done but not with alot of variety.

I just couldn't get the DAZ Morphing Fantasy Dress to work, and I would really like to see it! Do you have time to post step by step instructions on how to do it? I'd really appreciate it! Or even just getting the dang thing via email, but I think that's probably a no-no. (just guessing).
honkster posted Tue, 11 November 2003 at 6:28 AM
Yup, its a no-no. I cant get it to work reliably either, BUT the following things help: Lower the collision offset. Increase the number of steps. In a 3D application, delete the bodyhandle for the skirt. That is, copy the .obj and modify it. Good Luck!
