WHen I try to export my half beard obj. as a 3ds the progress slider comes up and stops at about 30% then after a couple seconds jumps to 50% and then closes. It creates the file but when I try to open it in 3dmax r3 I get a invalid file format message. This only happens with the half beard. GRRRRRR this is the one thin stoping me from completeing the beard! BTW- the half beard is about 6.7 megs if that has anything to do with it.

Not sure about the patch but it seems to only happen with 3ds. I have 128 megs ram and plenty of hd space.

Take a look at Curious Labs for the newest one (patch) (if you don't mind the latest news about the trojan). The original *.3ds - export has a bug. One help could be. When you export - export the ground too, found out that this is necessary ...

Deal, get the update...102b I think... it fixes 3ds, obj and dxf inport/export.. Look carefully.. if there's more than one save as 3ds.. choose the one closest to the bottom... Cheers, Wizzard
