This site often lags for me. Do you have DSL or Cable? Usually, Cable is far better than DSL. I've had both and must admit that Cable was extremely faster. I was dissapointed when I first got DSL as well, because while it was "fast", it was fast when I wanted to download something, not when I wanted to browse. If all the pages you visit (not just at Renderosity, but at other places) are really going slow, call your provider. http://www.dslreports.com/stest - Check this site out, and see how your speed matches up. Hope I couuld be of any help. - Rick

The problem isn't anyone. It's Rosity. I have DSL and it gotten constantly slower as time has gone on. When I first got DSL is was pretty fast but they made changes at Rosity and now it's worse than dialup. Aend the admins an IM and you might get a reply that they are working on fixing the problem. Well, it doesn't take over a month to fix the problem. I know, I worked for an ISP and anyone that is concerned about customer problems want to get it fixed as soon as possible. Some peopl here will tell you it because od the number of people using the site...that's bull. I've seen it faster with 2000 people online than I have with 1200 people online.

I've just sat here for 5 mins (no exaggeration, apart from the sitting part, I actually went and made a coffee) waiting for the server to acknowledge that I'd posted a reply in a thread... I suppose I better go and make another coffee after I hit the 'post reply' button. Looking at any pic over 150k could lead to caffeine addiction... It's getting a bit tedious, this slowness, and I think it's getting worse. Admittedly, I'm only on an ISDN dialup, but other sites aren't this slow! I've seen a shedload of posts about the problem, but no answers as to why it's happening, apart from the occasional 'we're looking into it' reply. Can anyone shed any light on the matter?

I have very good DSL and noticed that over the past month + that the pages loading have slowed again to a crawl... with my life getting busier, I just can't take the TIME to wait for the pages to load - so had to give up making comments on all my Favorite Artist's images! :( I did notice that the number of visiters here at any given time is now well over the 2,000 amount... so I think that the improvements that Rosity made for the last jump in members was not enough for the still growing membership using this site!

Life Requires Assembly and we all know how THAT goes!
