that she's been on my mind the past couple of days, since we're up here where the Trail of Tears actually started. Our "mountain home" is in Maggie Valley, only 20 miles from Cherokee. We've been to Cherokee several times, but never been to the museum there, which is supposed to be the best Native American museum. I've been to several others, to Hopi house in Phoenix AZ and one in Euphala, AL. For some reason, and I can't explain why, the history of the Native Americans fascinates me. Anyhow, here is the Cherokee presentation of the "trail of tears". And as y'all (still working hard on that southern drawl) can see, Chohole was pretty close with her image. WELL done, girl! :) PS.. up here in the mountains I don't even have my server details! (well, duh!) so I've used some spare place I'd almost forgotten, and I would like to make every image it's own page with some explanation to it... at any rate, hope you enjoy.

Native American history fascinates me too. I keep rereading "Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee". Thanks for posting.

That's a great piece of work you've put together Britt and no one deserves the tribute more than chohole with all the wonderful creations she shares with us. 8) Catlin

Thanks Britt. those are some fantastic images. As I told you it is so kind of you to think of me whilst enjoying a break in the mountains. Going to snatch them all onto my hard drive. Thankyou again.
