Folks, I have been told there is a tutorial explaining how to make realistic clouds in Bryce. Can someone tell me where I can find it? Thanks! Pat

I'd like to know too, I've been having problems with them as of late.

Ok... Zhann has several sets of cloud Packages at Higher resolutions then mine and several Texture Packages that folks might need to look at... Here ya go... Start off with an awesome Cloud Pic that you took or got off the internet...Bigger resolutions the better...2000x2000 is fine but I like them bigger for more realistic shots,Now apply a 2d square to your scene and go into the Picture editor and Import your Photograph....Now comes the fun stuff...After clicking the check mark to apply the cloud Pic to the 2D square you need to go into the Material editor and change the Ambience settings to 0 and then click on the upside down triangle to get into the shadow options and click all of the shadow settings to off...Click the check mark and then again...Now you are in your scene again and what you need to do is move the Square to beyound your scene and I always move it up to a Quarter of an inch above the Horizon line and Add 2-3Haze That matches the bottom of the cloud Pic...Wow starting to look good but the dang 2Dsquare is way too small....Well stretch it to fit your scene then after it is fitted to your scene do a quick render and make sure all of your borders are covered...SAVE...Now you can go several different ways to Color your Clouds By using Lights and or also changing the colors in the Material settings dots....For any more little hints and treasures it's in the Package...
