Hello! At home I'm running PS6 and I sometimes alters the value on steps for brushes. I foud it very helpfull when drawing dotted lines and striped patterns. Just stared on an education for 3d animation and them computers at school are running PS7. To my big surprise the option for steps have been assinged to some new brush called the healing brush. Is there any way to alter the steps for the "normal" brush in PS7? And the J-key is wrong to... Help...please!

Hi Mten, you can find the option for Steps in the brushes palette (it's often "docked" in the upper right of the Option Bar).

Click the small triangle (arrow) to drop-down the palette
Select Other Dynamics (make sure to actually "click" ON the words and not just the "checkbox")
Select Fade from the "Flow Jitter" control drop-down menu
Enter the value you want for the steps.

hope this is what you're looking for...

You where on the right track, but it was under "brush tip shape" the changes was made. And its called spacing not steps as I thought. It was just a slip with the mouse that led me to it, I just accidently clicked the "brush tip shape" text and there it was!! thanks for pointing me in the right direction! M V H Mten
