Where the hell can i find a model oft manhattan or the brooklyn bridge?? I DON`T WANNA PAY FOR IT, because i think 200 $ for a MODEL is a little bit crazy. At greatbuildings.com, you can give a damn shit on it because you cant use the model in poser or bryce or anywhere else, only in that stupid 3d viewer can you help me?

I suggest that you build it yourself! That way, perhaps you will be just the weeist bit more appreciative of the time and skill it takes to make something from scratch. Carolly

You place a high value on your time yet no value on a modeler's. If you think models should be free, learn to do it on your weekends then you can spend your spare time making models and giving them away.

You can convert those greatbuildings models with Deep Exploration from Right hemisphere. BTW, a model of Manhattan (the whole thing) would be enormous and would be very difficult to make. I'd expect it to cost more than $200.

There is a nice one at 3Dworldcluc.com. You have to pay a 49$ subscription, but for that price, you can download 5 different products. And BTW, there is also a Manhattan island model. Regardsodeathoflife posted Sun, 26 October 2003 at 1:55 PM

Well, I never bought any city models from there, but I bought several car models, some with a rating of 1 star, and some with a rating of 2. I don't recommend those with 1 star, but the others are pretty nice. So, the more stars you see, the higher quality you get, with a lot and great details. I noticed for example, the Brooklyn Bridge has a rating of 3, and the city of New-York, a rating of 5, so I think we can trust these products. Regards

Downtown manhattan - 3DS with textures. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I got it. Try 3D Cafe perhaps or a Google search :-)

The zip file I have is named NYCity 3DS.zip but I don't know if that's the original and there's no readme. The geometry is called immo1.3ds

I think the original may have been nyc.zip since I sometimes rename things to make them a little more recognizable. At any rate, I spent about an hour trying to find it also and no luck. I've had it for more than a couple of years so it's possibly no longer available. If I happen to sumble across it again, I'll let you know. Fantasticarts.com has over 45MB of architectural models you can download free but I don't see listings and you have to use a p2p client to get the downloads because of the file sizes.
