Voting is underway, through the 30th, for the Renderosity Halloween Contest. There are 164 interesting images, including a few, done whole or in part, using fractal programs. If interested in voting, or just viewing some nice works, I have provided the link.

The other fractal artists I found were: Longrider http://www.renderosity.com/contest.ez?contest_id=235&ShowQuestion=7121 Silver http://www.renderosity.com/contest.ez?contest_id=235&ShowQuestion=6820 Wyvern7 http://www.renderosity.com/contest.ez?contest_id=235&ShowQuestion=7273 Using these links will only show the picture, not register a vote.

I'd be careful about clicking that link in hewsan's post...It looks like it will place your vote for that image automatically. --Asher

Shame on me, I totally missed Tresamie's cute little ghost! the link is http://www.renderosity.com/contest.ez?contest_id=235&ShowQuestion=7298 Link won't place a vote, just show the image. It's well worth a look.

AsherD, The link I provided leads to the first page of the submissions, not even to the page that my entry is on, which is #39.... Sorry for the late reply to your misinformed post, but been away the past couple days.

I'm sure you didn't intend it, but that link does place a vote. Look at it closely, it ends in "vote for" not "show" and the number is the id, not the entry number. Please note the difference between it and the other links. Try it again - it does go to the main page IF a person has already voted, and displays the message "sorry you've already voted". If a person hasn't voted, it shows your picture and registers a vote. My daughter used it, then when she tried to vote for mine, it told her she had already voted. Please check with admin if in doubt. As I said, I'm sure you didn't intend for that to happen.

Greetings Wyvern7 As soon as I finish posting this, will post a message in the contest forum with a link to this thread. After I had voted... and was returned to the main page, copied the url and used that here. Then checked the link to see if it took me back to that first page... which it did. Would assume that you would have to click the "vote for" button in any case, but if this has indeed unintentionally led to votes for my image, do regret that, and even having posted anything... and will withdraw from the contest. Had just wanted to give a heads up to the contest, which I thought had some interesting works (as well as mine) that might otherwise go unseen.

Hewsan It's easy to see how this happened. I can't imagine why the url was set up to register a vote instead of the way it usually works by clicking a separate button. I think it's something the contest should address, not you. Any one of us could have done the same. Don't withdraw your work, my daughter certainly didn't want to withdraw her vote. I think admin should be asked to do this differently in the future.
