i wonder if this program has a lot of bugs like Poser 5? if it is, then bye bye $300! cant return it if i open it... i did my research and so far things came out good..... how is the program performing on your machine? i have an Intel Celeron 1Gig CPU with 512 RAM and 20 gig drive with 128 bit 3D graphics accel card.....kinda of an antique machine....but hey it still fits the system requirments of the software another question.....as i understand from my research of the program, i can create 3D human figures like the ones in Poser 5. is this right? create as well as edit OBJ files? just wanna make sure.......i asked the sales guy in the software dept this question n the dude just went "humanahumanahumnan" while his head spinned..... anyway, please advice......thanks in advance for any advice and for reading!! =)

You can create any 3D object you desire. Whether it looks like a human figure from Poser depends on how well you can use the modeling tools. If you haven't modeled in 3D before, its going to take a lot of learning and work to create an animatable human figure. If you're new and Poser figures are your starting point, maybe a better start would be to import the existing figures and try out a few changes.

You bought 2.0 or 3.0? Just curious as 3.0 is the latest version... Paul

thanks for the replies..... bought 2.0.....i know there's 3.0 but i couldn't find a comp store where i live that sells 3.0.....only available on eovia's website..... is the price the same? cause the 3.0 for sale at eovia's site is an upgrade to 2.0 n is for $170 i think.... figured i learned a lesson from Poser 5....i/we hear from other Poser 5 users reports of a lot more bugs than Poser 4 which was still for sale when Poser 5 came out..........thinkin the latest edition is always THE BEST i bought Poser 5 only to be flooded with bugs, and some of them would make you ask youself "how did the developers miss this bug?" well anyway.....i bought 2.0 cause of this lesson.....and also cause i didn't want to order from websites as i had 2 bad experiences ordering online. now its back to square one again.....trying to learn a new software. thanks again!!

2.0 has bugs, so you'll need the patch to 2.1 from the Eovia web site. 3.0 also has bugs, but includes all the fixes from the 2.1 patch, along with a whole host of new features, performance boosts, streamlined interfaces and better render engines - and a sprinkling of its own new bugs, but nothing serious enough to interrupt your work flow.
