I have several computers and I have installed Poser 4 on two of them, both with AMD Athlon 2100 processors but with different graphics cards and different operating syatems, one with Win 98 and the other Win XP Home. I found that when I use Poser in 'cartoon + line' mode, one of the PCs shows hidden lines (the 98 version) and the other doesn't. Despite long and hard contemplation I couldn't come up with any rational explanation for this. Recently my XP machine crashed and I had to reinstall Windows four times before it was working again properly (don't you just love Microsoft?). In the process the registry had lost all knowledge of Poser so I reinstalled it, intending to then delete the original version. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the two identical versions of Poser, on the same machine, with the same operating system and the same graphics card, on the same day, displayed the same file differently. Gobsmacked or what?!! Here are the two images. Can anybody explain this? The one on the left is from the original installation and is how it has always been, and the one on the right is the same file as shown by the new installation. The images are a bit on the small side because if I zoom in the hidden line problem disappears. A solution woyld be most welcome because I really would like to run Poser on the Win 98 machine, and cartoon + line is my favourite mode. The (un)hidden lines make the new version unworkable. Thanks in advance, Maz
