Over the weekend, I finished a final test render (to disk) on a scene I'd put a lot of work into. However, when I went to make my final changes on the scene, Bryce couldn't open it (It told me it couldn't find the file when I had it pointed to exactly where it was). Has this happened to anyone before? Is there a fix out there (I'm fully updated, before anyone suggests it)? Do I just have to learn to back up my files?

Are you on a Wdws or Mac platform? On a Mac, sometimes the Bryce preferences become corrupt and you need to ditch it. Beyond that try a clean re-install of the program. (This probably holds true in Windows too.) Is the icon is readily identifiable as a Bryce file, or is it "non-descript." If the latter and the above doesn't work, then the file is probably corrupt and gonzo. This can happen easily, particulary when crashing while saving a Bryce file. In the future, as in all computer programs, and especially 3d, save often and make successive backups having different names. Then not only can you go back, but you can go back to any point in the design process. Good luck. manowar
