There are a lot of new rendering technologies, the ability to export to other applications, support for professional compositing applications, object decimation for faster setups, python scripting to write your own effects, etc. You'll be able to see that when the demo is released :-) You are right about hair and cloth. Steve Bell" i wrote in asking about a demo. vue 4 pro seems like a nice program but hardly worth the upgrade price, imo. that's just based on what i've seen. i told them a demo was in order and this is the reply. so they may make a believer out of me after all... who knows. all of you who already own pro, what's one feature it lacks that you really want or wish for?
