I have the free Viki morph that will make Viki look like a fox, wolf, ..... I bought the Viki textures (for the regular Viki) but the textures are independent of the Viki_m figure. How do I put the textures from Viki onto the free Viki_m figure. In want to be able to create the wolf, fox, and so on but have realistic skin. Thanks

What I ended up doing was using Morph Manager and transferring the morphs over to the texture Vickie. Then you can delete the morph figure and you have them rolled up in one. Morph Manager is in the Free Stuff, I believe. If I'm wrong, someone else will know where to find it. Melanie

I downloaded MorphManager and launched it. It's too complicated for me. If I can send you proof that I have the models then will you send me a copy of yours with the morph targets added? Kimberly krbtv@home.com

Kimberly, MorphMan looks more complicated than it really is. Basically: Load, Copy, Save Just load the .cr2 files from your Libraries directories for the figure that has the morph and the figure you want to copy it to. When loaded, go to the body part that has the morph and right click on it and select COPY. Morph Manager will then copy that morph to the other .cr2 file. Repeat if you want to copy more. Save the modified .cr2 when you are done. (use a new name or overwrite the old .cr2) Dats it!

Great little tutorial, Nance. Kimberly, it really is that easy. I thought it was confusing at first, too, but it's actually kind of fun to use. You can get carried away transferring morphs back and forth. You can also clean out unwanted morphs this way, too, buy deleting them. Melanie

That's a great mini-tutorial Nance - thanks for posting it. Kimberley, Morph Manager looks very complicated, but once you get the basics down you'll be copying morphs from one CR2 to another with ease. Then you'll start to wonder how you got by without it :) Paul

krbtv- Gee, if I was doing it I'd put the maps on the morph figure then resave it as a set, not put the morphs on the already mapped Vicki, or is there something I don't understand here? The maps from Zugote are in something like Poser4/runtime/textures/zygote textures, you can map any Vickie figure to use any map that is correct for that figure (that is to say, any that haven't been remapped, and a morphed figure has to use the original mapping). You have to pick evert part (head, lips, etc, and remamber Vickie uses two maps, and some parts are not on the map you would think, the inside of the mouth is on the body map, if I recall, for example. But anyway, it only takes a couple of minutes.

Jim, I'm blushing. I never thought of that. Too simple, I guess :) :) :) Kimberly, that would be the easiest. Just bring in your morph character and apply the texture to it and resave it, as Jim said. (This is why I wouldn't make a good teacher!). Melanie

Dooh! I just jumped to the conclusion that neither model contained all the morphs she wanted.

melanie posted Thu, 10 August 2000 at 8:44 AM

Well, Nance has another good point. If the morph figure you're referring to is only the addition of a few new morphs, then you need to move those morphs to your "full" character, then apply the maps and you'll have a complete figure. Melanie

I did that but they're still not the same. The Vicki texture has better looking eyes. I opened the free Viki morph and under render materials I applied the new textures & bump to the morph. I then added the new figure to the icons on the right. Apparently the texture update I got for viki has more to it that just "skin".

Melaine- Some times you just have to come in from the other side. I do teach some times, BTW!
