Load the .hr2 in Poser and save it as an .obj file by using FILE/EXPORT/WAVEFRONT.OBJ Load the new .obj file into UVMapper and select SAVE UV MAP

I've been doing this too with various hair models, but have yet to see on with a decent uv map. Does anyone have any tips? I've tried all the different kinds in uvmapper. None of them turn out with a decent layout for trying to transmap them.

Chailynne- Yep, it is dificult to map hair, best way would to be as you are putting the parts togeather (building the original model), but it is too late for that if you aren't building your own hair. One solution is spherical map the top half, cylinder map the lower half, move the offsets to the two map about the same in the middle, then MANUALLY move all the vertices on the joint so they meet more-or-less seamlessly. I mapped my strip hair that way, I don't think anybody appreicates the work required! I wish UVMapper had a Zoom tool, as the work gets hard on the old eyeballs.

Thanks Jim. I think this is still a bit over my head. I've only just started learning 3d and am still waiting for something to click in to place. But I'm determined, so eventually I'll get it. Maybe I need to tackle hair from the learn to model it side instead. LOL Ahhh well, back to the posing board.
