In case anybody is interested, the cool Photoshope plug-in "Cybermesh" is now a free download from Puffin at: http://www.puffindesigns.com/support/downloads.html This plug-in is similar to the Supermesh plug that is available for RDS 5.5 and it will allow you to create & export mesh objects from grayscale images right in Photoshop. You may not need it but you can't beat the price. There is a terrain generator in Carrara also that is similar to the one in Bryce, however the Cybermesh plug allows for spherical and cylindrical mapping of your image (without deformers).

That's not cool. That's totally awesome! You're a bad man. How am I supposed to get any deadlines met today with a toy like this around?

Sorry Mark, guess I'll wait a couple days before I mention some more cool freebies (now you know why I never post any pictures or models!).

Very cool! Very fun. Strangely, though, when I import the dxf to RDS, it comes out backwards! (Simple correction by flipping the image in PS, but odd, nonetheless....) Thanks for sharing the link!

Thanks Marque, I had to do a search to find "CyberMesh" in some of the other forums & it had been mentioned awhile back in the Poser section. I know how you feel about purchasing it & then seeing it become a freebie, I bought SuperMesh from Zenstar. P.S., Don't anybody do a search for Cybermesh, you will run across a note from Man-O-War regarding a cool looking 3D shareware app called HexaSuper (for MAC OS) from: http://www.shusaku.co.jp/hexa/

I am becoming a stranger to my family. Your casual referrels to harmless plugins and applications is ruining my life. =)

Friends? Family? Oh, yeah, I vaguely remember those! :o)
