I've got poser 5 and I've updated it. I can export other models fine as a 3ds format and open it in max. VIctoria and Victoria 3 to 2 export fine but when I import them to max it says improper file format. tried sending them to milkshape3d but it says there to big. Any idea's why and if I can actually export and import Victoria?

Why don't you try using .OBJ file format? <---signature---> Free your Maya

That's weird... I've exported v3 into 3DS MAX before and I've had no problems... I use poser pro but I don't think it should be THAT different. Maybe it's too big because you are using a dressed figure? You can make smaller files by exporting the "parts" (for example: body + dress + shoes + hair = 4 different files). <---signature---> Free your Maya

I've had the same problem exporting V3 from P5 to Max - same error message and splitting V3 into separate parts makes no difference (my model had no clothes) I did however have morphs applied - maybe it's those that Max doesn't like?

I don't see why that should be a problem since you are technically creating a simple .OBJ figure... What does CLabs have to say about this? <---signature---> Free your Maya

I have tried a few times to export victoria 3 and the object has turned out a mangled mess. Maybe there is a v3 update that some people need for it to work properly...

I've exported V3 as an .OBJ and imported the .OBJ into Max, using HABWares free Max plugin (Obj2Max and Max2Obj) No problem whatsoever.

Just a side note: CLabslikely won't provide support for this issue since it doesn't directly involve their product (V3 is a DAZ product and MAX belongs to autodesk, err, discreet, err, whatever sub-company is selling it now lol)

It`s not only max that has this problem, though. I have imported v3 to lightwave and truespace and in both programs the figure is a mangled version of the original victoria 3.
