Sure, you've always been able to make reflections in Poser 5, but what settings should you use? And just where does that Reflect node go? Read on!

Thank you!!! I always seem to be recreating the wheel on this subject. I'm headed over there now.

This is interesting, but since it is different from other techniques I have a few questions. Why are there 4 nodes with identical settings instead of one node that has 4 connections? Won't one node do the job with a lot less computing required? Why is reflect being applied to specular color and value? I would think that glare (the specular aspect of glass) should wash-out reflected detail rather than enhance it. Why is a reflect node connected to the reflect value parameter - shouldn't reflect value be used to control the overall amount of reflection rather than varying by reflected surfaces? Maybe I'm missing some benefit here, buy how is the result of this technique any different from a single reflect node plugged into the Alternate_Diffuse channel? Just curious. :-)

I use always just one reflect node and plug that into the Reflect channel, sometimes I add a 3d texture node to the reflection node and that's it and it always reflects nicely. But will try your method as well, thanks for posting :-).
