Hi, all! I've been eyeing the V3 Hi and Lo resolution textures over at DAZ. Has anyone got them? What do you think of them, a good purchase? I'm looking for more textures/characters to add to my V3 collection. All inputs would be appreciated! El Coyote

The universal textures are excellent. The face map that come with it are excellent to. The Make-up pack goes perfect with it. With those two buys, you would have many character looks. There is also the Marie Goddard pack that has a very high rez tex. I don't have the low rez, can't say what they are like.

I have the high-res, and I like them because they come with MATs that let you darken the skin tones to several different shades, plus MATs for wet skin and skin sheen. You get a lot of options for your money. As I understand it, the low-res are the same, only smaller. So you could make your own low-res textures from the high-res ones; personally, I wouldn't buy both. The main limitation to DAZ's universal textures is that they are for a brunette. Even the fairest tone is relatively tanned, and the eyebrows and lashes are dark brown. They are painted, not trans-only, so they aren't easily changed. So if you want a natural blonde, these aren't for you. Otherwise, they're great.
