Is there any way to get rid of them once you load one in? Poser 4 or 5. It suddenly occurs to me that I've never tried. Thanks!

Yep! Just go to Display > Clear Background Picture. That's for Poser 5, by the way. Not sure about Poser 4. =)

Are you talking about when you use paste to background? IF so you can just uncheck 'show background image' under the view menu...

heyas; okay here's one: once you get rid of the background picture, how do you get the stupid poser document window to NOT size proportionally any more? i hate that part.

uncheck the box that says 'constrain aspect ratio' when you are setting the window size...
