Hi folks,
I'm happy to announce that Ground Control now supports World Machine (http://world-machine.com), and because there's nothing good on TV Friday nights, we also added support for Terragen TER files (http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen).

The update is free for existing customers. You can grab the update or
download and try out Ground Control from

Ground Control is a digital elevation map importer with support for classic USGS DEMs, VistaPro format DEMs, World Machine 32-bit RAW FP, and Terragen TER files. Ground Control's Smart Weighting generates more accurate meshes than simple grayscale converters. With Ground Control, you can import elevation maps as a Mesh, Anything Grooves, Terrain, or the new Ground Control primitive.

Brian,

Here's a rather contrived example. It uses GC Water to mix between the blue and a gradient. GC Water looks for spots that are lower relative to the surrounding areas so it finds the erosion spots at high elevations too. I'm also working on a full GC Water tutorial for the next issue of 3DXtract.

BTW, if anyone was having trouble with the download, the C3 package for PC has been corrected.
