Guys,

While Nvidia (Geforce 4 MX 64m) gladly sells to Macs, they do not support them with driver updates - an all too common problem. Apple doesn't offer any for 4, either. OpenGL ain't happening with this card, folks....it crashes after just a few minutes.

This is my first 3D app, and I'm struggling with all the Mac card options out there. There's been some mention of them needing to be "Quartz Extreme" enabled, but I have no idea what that means. I'd like something that will support OpenGl like a dream for Vue4. While Apple's support of OpenGL is been lacking, I understand Panther addresses this - but I'm concerned about it because Vue4 for Mac is very glitchy, and Panther might cause as many problems as it fixes. And... I don't wish to give Steve Jobs another $125 for a .2 upgrade.

Running a Dual GIG Quicksilver/1.5 GIGs ram. I'd like a card that will fill the bill for now, and down the road for other 3-D apps. Any suggestions are most appreciated.
