This is a proposal that I wrote up regarding a CD of artists here at renderosity.We have discussed the idea and now I am showing you all the proposal so I can get your reactions on it. Well, Storm! I for one i'm not an "Artist". But, i like the idea a lot! Might force me to do a few "SuperDuper" images or anims just for it.... Hey! Anything to help keep this Superb Site(my second Home) ALIVE & Kicking!! Well, In case it becomes a reality. I'll start rendering & i'll keep them in a "Safe Place" 'til you give the "Word"... As one of the old farts here, let me say: GREAT! Anything I've put up you are more than welcome to use. I have several peices of work that have never been seen and I would happily donate them.

First, so you know where I'm coming from- I have never posted an image or a prop, character, ect.., on this or any website. Nor do I have a website for any of the above. I am not an artist, though I write often. Second, I have downloaded hundreds of the above and am very grateful to Renderosity for posting them and the community at large for making them available. I think this is a fantastic idea and believe that anything that positively promotes this site and the people who bring it life is worth pursuing. To whom do I write the check? Bourne

Hello Like bourne, i download a lot of stuff here but I am really not an artist. Here is my thought: You specify that the cd will contains image, animation, screen saver, etc.... Why not what is included in free stuff. That's mean tool, model, props, etc...in a well structured way like renderosity does. Example, a section for props, Victoria, Hair, etc... Very often, the people refer to free stuff model but they are no more there or the link does not work. Having a cd on the free stuff will be beneficial and helpful. The idea is very great because it will help both renderosity and the artists and it will be optional for everyone. Again, a well structured cd representing renderosity free stuff and maybe other sites stuffs will be great. Claude

This sounds like a terrific idea. I for one would be glad to donate some of my stuff. I can only donate rendered images and do not wish to have my textures and props included on it since I will someday be making a CD of my own and don't want to have be a competitor in that genre.
