The site colors are in the process of being updated to the new "Blue" scheme chosen by the community. You'll likely notice some odd mixing 'n' matching between the old and new colors during this process for a short while. Your background and personalized profile colors should be staying the same. I thought that there was something funny about the continual brown.

me too, was going to mention something but then saw this thread and decided to check it out. An alternate to clearing your cookie ( then having to log back in ) is forcing IE to reload the page by using ctrl+the refresh button.

Thank you thank you thank you..... It feels so good to leave the 'brown' period.

Personally I prefer the brown. All I had to do was tweak the main color page, and I had no problems with it. However this blue hurts my eyes too much. Makes the white text boxes too bright in appearance (especially in chat). Its pretty bad when ya have to wear sunglasses before going to a webpage.

OK I admit it. I thought the blue was hideous at the preview, when we voted for it (or against it...) but... it actually looks good. And THANK YOU for just changing the colour of the tables as well to a darker blue, I was just gonna post a complaint, but when I went to get a screenshot, it had allready changed :o) So all in all: This is much better :o)

Ack, I wanted to compliment Rosity on the Blue, it looks great - but somehow my IM text has been made black and that doesn't work against the blue background. Is this temporary?
Zhann posted Thu, 20 November 2003 at 5:34 PM
Same here on the IM text, it was white then suddenly changed to black while I was reading it, WHITE please!

I love the new changes, so glad that the community favored the blue. The IM text being black was a surprise, but it doesn't look so bad, since I have chosen black for the background color. Thank you for implementing these changes, I think it looks great!

What happened to the site? It looks so professional and clean. Where did the muddy, hard-to-read mud color go? Just when I was getting used to squinting to read the black text on dark brown color. :) And I like the little drop shadow beneath the words "Art Community" on the main logo. The silver in the logo definitely looks much better with the blues than with the browns. As the people above said, excellent choice on colors. Oh, wait, they said "great", not "excellent". --John

I like it. Was one of the choices an Emerald Green? LoL Actually, blue is my favorite color, AND I accidentally posted my opinion at the homepage instead of waiting until I got to the forum. So... Sorry 'bout that. I like it.

looks great...I did hear that certain colours either enhance or detract from the images, esp when viewing the thumbs, but you know, I think this blue is the 'enhancing' variety ( esp for those that post landscapes :) Thanks

Big, big improvement over the horrible "poop and coffee with cream" color scheme. I've even gone and changed my settings to the default (during the "brown as mud" phase I had custom settings because it was so ugly and hard to read). THANK YOU. :-) bonni

Hey now! it has a nice "pop" to it! sharp & clean, even tuned the background white down a few levels, nice going!
Hellmark posted Fri, 21 November 2003 at 11:10 AM
Kate, depends on the type image. On my landscapes, its ok, but on my poser images, they are normally darker so its harder to see the thumbs

The blue looks very industrial. In my opinion, totally a non artistic backround shade.Blue is more aggressive.Using the brown gave me the choice to mix my page to compliment images much much better. The blue also hides the new Renderosity logo. There is always a possibilty to add a script for each person to choose their own background colours.

Not sure why, but this shade of blue just makes me want to smile - it is very peaceful, yet very professional :) The site looks great and thanks for the little adjustments to the message blocks and such, the type shows up wonderfully now :) Ohh this does make or happy finger-talking :) Thanks so much for the change! ladynimue
