This is my first competition, so I don't know how easy to set it! (nice and easy I hope!) The prize is a pre-publication copy of my new Seagull set, to be released next week at DAZ. The prize package doesn't have the P4 bum maps include_you'll have to create those yourself when prompted in Poser4. I'll send the winner a link for the prize. The question will be a little more difficult for anyone who lives outside the UK (first clue!) First Question is: Which English sea-side town's Harbour wall is pictured here? Second Question: There are 6 gull species included in the pack, each featuring at least once in the image_can you name them. Rules: one guess a day. The competition will finish on 27th (when the model is officially released)In the event of no-one getting the answer the person with the most corect answers will win!

I think that Musicat pounced upon it. However, being curious about British lighthouses, I did a spot of research anyway. Caligula may have been a monster, but his engineers put up a solid building. This is a decent site discussing all the lighthouses in the Dover area including their light signals. :) Carolly

Musicat: the light house is much further west! It hadn't occured to me that this harbour light might be a standard design so just in case here's clue number 2! The town in question was the centre of a famous English Art 'School/movement' And you got two of the 6 gull's! Well done keep guessing_ bear in mind I'm from the UK Nigel

Wow well done Genny_ 5 out of six for the gulls. I think that lighthouse is really tricky, so here's another clue. The town has a famous art gallery, fairly recently opened.

St Ives is the lighthouse (the art movement was a pretty big clue). My gull spotting ain't up to much but: Herring, Common, Great black backed, Lesser black backed, Black headed, Kittiwake

Yay! Richard_ the lighthouse is right! BUT only 4/6 for the gulls_ keep guessing you guys!

RHaseltine posted Fri, 21 November 2003 at 2:16 PM

It's like the old Mastermind game - Genny had five right, I had four right and we differ on two so at least one of the two Genny offered is right and at least one of the two I offered is wrong, while at least three of the shared ones are correct, so ....

hehe! what fun! Here's St. Ives_ lovely Cornish Seaside town_ visit it if you're ever near there.Lots of fantastic coastall scenery with old derelict tin mines. Barbara Hepworth the great british sculptress worked near here.

While there take a look in the St Ives Tate. When I was last there there was an exhibition of the work of one of the foremost painters of the St Ives school Bryan Wynter. He used seagull's as a motif in many of his paintings.
