Okay... how do I get an animation I've done in Poser over to another program? What is this BVH file and are there other programs out there that use it? thanks, Fletchsteveshanks posted Mon, 14 August 2000 at 2:25 PM
A BVH is a Bio?? oh heck I forget anyway its an industry standard motion capture file and can be used in many programs 3D studio max, Maya and Cinema 4d to name a few....to use one from poser you would export the BVH then export the first frame OBJ .......I'm not sure about the others but in cinema you need to import both the BVh and figure then scale the figure to match the Bones (thats what you get importing a BVH) then fix the bones to the figure.unfortunatel its not quite that easy fixing the bones takes a lot of fiddly work and I think the best way to do it would be by getting 3d studio max and maximum pose the latter is a go between app for importing poser animations into max and a demo is in the free stuff bit.....Steve
