Is there any way that you can find out how many people have downloaded a free item that you have made? I mean here in renderosity It would be helpful to know if the thing you made is very popular or just a turkey or whatever.

if you look under the date it should tell you there how many times it has been downloaded, just above the download button :)

I should have looked about more carefully before I asked the question :) I have been in the freestuff area loads of times so I should have noticed by now...

You can also click the "Most Wanted" link to sort the freebies by number of downloads. I'm in the top 900. Barely.

I am well in the top 900 My robot has been downloaded more than 500 times! I was hoping twenty or thirty people had downloaded it.

I mean I was surprised about 500 people downloading it. I am NOT complaining. :)

Thanks from me too, Xantor :o) I look at the download numbers all the time, and I'm constantly amused. Right now 203 people have downloaded my Hairball. It's kitty barf fer crissake. Cat owners ARE truly maschochists since they want even 3D barf LOL

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
