IMHO.... the BW & crop out the bedspread in the background. Wonderful portrait Michael.... the mood seems melancholy..

I like the b/w. I think it fits the the mood/expression she has on her face....like melancholy (sp?) Jack

The lasy one works well for a portrait. The first could work if you could crop from below the horizontal on the sash window. I like B/W in these type of shots, mainly because I think it helps to set the mood.

In looking again, at the new shot and the other... I agree with you Michael....the bed does add to the mood, I see how the bed also balances the shot.... I like this other very much too and it looks fabulous in BW...
