Two ways of having a custom body shape and clothes to match: 1) Change the body shape with magnets and apply the same magnet to the clothes. 2) Change the mody shape with morphs and use Tailor to transfer the morphs to the clothing. Any opinions as to which method is better? Daz has two competing products, Sarah Spriteling (uses deformers, method 1) and Tailor itself (method 2). Apart from the fact that SS is V3-specific, I would be interested to know what people think about the comparison between these two approaches.

Surely you can use magnets and then make morph targets from the effect of the magnets?

Have worked with SaraSp a number of times and really like the results when fitting clothing. Looking forward to more from Wyrmaster. Just learning Tailor. So far I've found (with help)Tailor works great with tight/form fitting clothing, but my recent experience and also what I've heard from PhilC (another thread), would agree with what Rattler said above. Tailor makes a mess out of clothing that drapes. It "warps" or crumples draping clothing horribly. Try getting a V3 Granny Type flannal nighty to fit a big busted V3. It becomes form fitting except the "warping" or crumpling under the breasts.

I don't have the Taylor, so can't comment on that. As to magnets, whilst as xantor said you can use magnets and then spawn morph targets from the effect of the magnets, but for a clothing item it may be better to leave the magnets attached but locked, as the magnets could be used to deforme the clothing item for a number of diffrent characters, you could even update the the clothing to fit a new character by distributing a pose (pz2) to adjust the magnets. The down side of using magnets is that there do seem to be some bugs involved with magnets not always loading properly from a saved pz3.
