here is my lastest work.. I think I'm starting to develop a bit of a talent for once.. *grins* ok so I still don't, but thats besides the point.Slowly i'm learning, and you all get to be my subjects and see my slow (very slow) pergression into an acuall artist

Actually, it has quite some appeal to it... and I do believe you harbor some talent there as an artist. All you have to do is develop it, and that only takes a lot of hard work. :-)

well of course i have some talent.. and yep its still developing, i just say i don't have any talent cause i'm a horrable perfectionist about my own works, and since i don't have the skill just yet to make them perfect, it drives me nuts. lol

Lovely bright image Db, only one thing bothering me and that's the shadows. The arch is casting a shadow into the picture but the shadows of the Knight and his horse go almost in the oposite direction. My suggestion would be to tone down the intensity of the lights around the knight and maybe turn off cast shadow, with perhaps one light casting shadow directly behind the knight. That would make the image look more natural IMHO, and the shadows would be cast in the right direction. HTH 8) Catlin

though in truth there is of course 3 different shadows for each of them.. but the light in some areas masks it well, but i see what your saying, Catlin. i'll have to work on the lighting more.. lighting and textures are my downfall in this 3d stuff.. of course i always felt that lighting and texture Are main focus a 3d image.

You're doing good work Db and these are small points but they can make or break an image. All you got to do is play around with lights and their settings and in no time at all you'll be giving advice to others on how to illuminate a scene. 8) Catlin
