Tried again and this time it went through - but Bondware did ask to set a cookie, so maybe the alert failed to appear last time and that was why it hung (there wasn't a "Privacy alert" button on the task bar, though, which usually happens if a cookie request has been pushed back). Anyway, I've spent my money now, thanks.

When I click the checkout button from my basket, the progress bar slowly inches along and nothing happens. This is the first time I've tried buying since rebuilding my system, but there are no blocked cookie alerts in the IE status bar and no sign of my firewall killing the response (it shows an allowed packet to 208.138.126.7 and no blocked stuff coming back from there). Just went to the checkouts at Amazon and RDNA (purely in the name of research!) with no problems, so it isn't a system-wide problem with secure sites.
