For some reason I pictured you in medieval armor, sporting a claymor. @Zhann: Regal. @Nukeboy: Your name fits. What kind of gun is that you've got there? I got to fire an AK47 last month at my uncle's range. Fun stuff. Five in a dime with a 22 from 100. @Ringbearer: You look like a friend of mine before he cut his hair. I have never been caught on film (to my knowledge). My parents are Amish and cameras (computers for that matter) were strictly forbidden. My Mother thought they were Vile (yep that is were its from always had it always will). I had chanced once when I was ten to see some pictures and a girls camera! Amazing! I wanted this world! Best way to approach an Amish person is not with a camera in hand! Anyway when I was thirteen I ran away from home and jumped on a freight train headed west. I got a job when I was fourteen (lied about my age) cleaning up used computers for resale (thus my pension for electronics grew). The rest is about as boring as the beginning. Although sometimes behind the camera I never have tried to step in front of one and no one has ever offered (although there are surely surveillance images of me?). Is that odd? I have never really thought about it I guess. I mean I look in the mirror and realize that is me and people I know recognize me. Does that sound weird? Oh well I was why off on what all of you looked like so I will leave my comments to myself! And is anyone but me really disturbed by what Vasquez is doing?

Nukeboy: Iron sights, but lying down. Standing I can get 10 in a half dollar from 100. I just like .22 rifles because they are fun to shoot and cheap as well. Don't have to worry about knocking your shoulder out either. Shotguns are fun but it gets more expensive. At my uncle's range I've also tried a desert eagle (ouch, my hands still hurt; and ears.) It's a d-eagle .50 too so it's pretty 'fun'... I'm not very accurate with that at all. He has some huge rifle, I haven't shot it; a Psg-1 or something. He bought it at a gun auction for 10 grand. But I've seen him split a quater sideways from a long way off, past the end of the range. It's deafening. He has a few berettas as well. Some world war 1/2 rifles and pistols including a luger. An AK-47, that thing scares me. anything more than a few burst rounds and the recoil can take off if you aren't expecting it. I'm not huge into guns and such, but I have visited his range and had some good times. Just glad that there are laws controlling them, you don't realize how dangerous they are untill you see a couple targets/soda cans/baseball hats that an ak has ripped through, lol. Keep safe.

Whether it's open sights or a scope. That's just fine. Good shooting. By military standards, any shot to the torso is considered a hit and a kill. By law enforecement standards, which are the FBI standards, my shots need to be between the outer corner of the eyes and the top of the eyebrow and the bottom of the eye socket. Basically, right between the eyes. This hits the brain stem or the "no reflex zone". My best is 3 shots in a 1 inch square at 400 meters. Zhann, if you're wondering what I have, it's an AR-15. The semi-automatic (1 shot for each trigger pull) version of the full-automatic (just hold the trigger) military M-16. Nice, Nuke. Fully silenced. hehehehehehehe Hey, don't worry everyone. Bazze, I don't think the images are funny either and don't mean to offend, but they are a great set of pictures explaining what some of us do (or did). I think people have great difficulty understanding conflict unless you've been in it, sometimes pictures like this help break through this idea that modern warfare is 'impersonal'. I'd love to see a few politicians spend a while in conflict zone bfore they can make decisions to join a conflict coz it ain't pretty or nice or heroic it's exciting, but mainly frightening at the same time, you learn who your true buds are and who really are out for themselves. I'd want really good evidence of necessity before joining a conflict, obviously tactical asignments and decisions are a different thing, but the general decision to join is one not to be taken lightly. Sorry to get heavy, normal service will be resumed shortly.

Diversity, you want a definition, just look here. WOW! Everthing from soup to nuts. Mostly nuts, I would say. Some hot women, cool guys and all around REAL people. Seems we say it like it is and that's what counts. I had an idea reading through this today. Don't know it anyone else had the thought or if it's been tried or done before, but, what about a Bryce "conference" so to speak. OK, OK..a party. We all get together at some centralized location for a weekend of..of...well, whatever. Just an idea. What do yuz all think? Yeah or Nay?

Could be worse, could be raining.
danamo posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 2:18 PM
Somewhere in the mid-Atlantic would be "centralized", lol. It just wouldn't be quite the same without the non-U.S. members of the Forum. We're spread out all over this planet.(Oh,didn't mean to exclude you non-human members ,sorry). Now if the guys at the ultra top-secret "Black Project" labs in Montauk would just commercialize their teleportation devices, we could meet anywhere on planet Earth. Seriously though, it does sound like fun Boomer, but the logistics involved would be a killer!

Wow! Meeting up is gonna be way tricky. No such thing as a central location in the global village. How about West Kent in the UK. Nice and central for me. For a few months, anyway, then Indy will be more central. How about setting a time when we can all crash into the chat room. That's almost like a meeting and more of us can probably make it. Might have to be late GMT in order for our American cousins to be able to get home from work etc. We should have put our locations along with the pictures. I was gonna say age as well, but lets be serious. Phil (DrawbridgeP) Tunbridge Wells, Kent, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
BOOMER posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 2:57 PM
Yeah, I know it's kind of far fetched, but it's an idea for anyone willing to. Alternative - Those of us in the US can meet in an agreed upon 'centralized' location and those in the UK and other European countries can set up a place to meet. Yeah, I know we are spread thinly over the whole planet, but it would be a blast. Pictures taken out the wazoo and posted on the net for all of us to make fun at. Like we don't already. I don't know. Sounded like a good idea. If anyone is up for it or has an idea, spit it out. The chat room sounds like a good idea. Most likely it will be late at night for some and early as hell for others.
