Greetings all, This is probably one for the Photoshop Forum, But I know you folks do alot of touchups for the poser models, So I decided to come here. I used Xtinction's Hair tutorial (1 & 2- Great Tutuorials BTW!!) for the wings, But I want to show more definition of the feathers of the wing structure. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get a better looking feather? Thanks for any comments or sugestions. Blacksteel

I also have some luck using layers, changing the settings, liminosity, burn, overlay etc. also I use transparancy. Set the hair brush color to black and then apply it along the edges of the body of the wing it will give the apearance of an outline of the feather. Also a bump map sounds like a good idea too. I also think you have to decide whether or not your feathers are soft and fluffy or stiff like a crow's wing feathers...stiff feathers do not look furry or fuzzy they have a shine to them. hope this helps

Transparency's seem the way to go, Im working on the map now, Thanks for that susgestion. Im trying to make Stiff feathers, but a photoshop approach is not giving me alot of options. So I went with the soft look because I know no other way to do it. Working on a new brush set, thanks folks.. Blacksteel
