Hi, I downloaded some free car models today, the problem is they're all .max files and I can't find a converter to get them to import into Poser 4/5. Anyone know of a freeware/shareware prog to do this, and where to get it from? TIA, M.

The only one I know of is the free Habware obj to Max and Max to obj - but it only works if you have a copy of Max. AFAIK there is no Poser plug-in for importing native files from other apps.

3ds, yes. max, no.

the max format is the worst format to convert to any other type. You would be better looking for another site with free cars similar or the same as the ones you downloaded but in a better format. 3ds is about the best format for most programs but if you are using them in poser wavefront objects are the best though 3ds usually work as well.
