Hmmmm, now you have my curiosity up...smile. OK, searching like crazy: http://www.bubbaboo.com/meaning-of-baby-names.asp?n=QIANA Means GRACIOUS http://www.placesnamed.com/q/i/qiana.asp It's the 2559th most popular female name in the US http://www.aminet4u.com/wordpower.htm Lustrous (another possible meaning but it doesn't fit in your description...grin) http://www.behindthename.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?terms=diana Qiana comes from Kiana (Hawaiian) which is derived from Diana meaning heavenly or divine (hmmmm, doesn't fit either) http://www.thenewparentsguide.com/baby-names-q.htm Meaning of gracious again. Ok, I give up...LOL

I used to sew with qiana... a bridesmaid's dress that I made back in 1973 is still wearable. The fabric was expensive (like silk) and drapes incredibly well, like pouring water... however it does run, and you must use a ball-point needle to sew. Because it was indestructable, they took it off the market for many, many years. I do not know if the new improved qiana is the same thing or not, but suspect that they didn't improve it for the consumer's sake. Carolly
