Point to note: If you really like a particular attractor, save the image then go and save the attractor with the same name, that way you have reference, and you can render it differently, while still keeping it intact....tweak it and not worry that it's gone, I noticed there's no -undo-.....

Cool, I don't know much about fractals, is there any good tutorial that could teach me how to create things like above. I've tried but I can't get anything to show up. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I did several terrains yesterday, and saved all my attractors (under the names of the things they resembled -- like dolphin and flower). The one thing I didn't try was volume mats. Maybe today. If I can climb out from under all the work I DIDN'T DO yesterday. I had so much friggin fun yesterday I have a hangover today!! A chaoscope hangover.

so...how do you add color to it?
rickymaveety posted Sat, 06 December 2003 at 11:32 AM
You either render it in light or plasma. Pick out your attractor; Then hit F3 a few times till you get something you like Then rotate it around in the screen a bit until you like the view Then choose your render mode (gas and liquid are gray scale, light and plasma are color) Then hit F4 and render.

Ornlu, also try zoomin 'in' or 'out', I have a roller on the middle of my mouse and it works as a zoom, wasn't till I fooled around with it that I found they were faaaar away and really tiny sometimes, or just hit F6 to adjust the view, and then to center Shift+F6, that will bring them to the forground and center them so you can see them.... I spent 12 hours doing these things, and had to ask them if at some point we would be able to export them as 3ds or obj. Waiting for a reply.. AND there is a pro version of this app available too!
