is there a way to get a prop to morph open? i need some drawers to be able to do that. right now they are set as a figure, but i would like to have it set as a prop so it can accompany the other props that go with it.

I just tried this out with a couple of boxes and it worked.
You have your props assembled, "drawers closed"...
Export as an .obj, select all parts of the item,
no boxes checked in the following dialogue.
"open" your drawer, then export all as one again.
You will need to do this for each drawer, one drawer open at a time.
Import the first, use the second as a morph target.
When you are all finished you'll have a slider for each drawer.
Like I said, I quickly tried this and got a slider to make the "drawer" open and close.
You can also put limits on this so the drawer stops where it should.

If you don't close the drawers correctly, they will move when you open the other drawers.
Using the same export settings, create an .obj for each drawer. You will be exporting the whole thing, not just the drawer.

When you are all done you can save to your Props folder so you won't have to do all that again.
If all went well you will have a chest that will open it's drawers with a flick of a dial.
Hope this helps.

k i tired your way and got totally lost with it. i well have to play with that technique. then i tired something off the top of my head. i remembered that i can save multiple props at the same time by selecting sub select...duh. well i did that and now i can use the trans to move the drawer in and out. i can just set the limit so it doesnt move all the way out into lala land. this works better in my case cause i have alot of doors and drawers. the doors i just move the joints to where they need to open. well thanks, im still going to play with your idea though, its something new to learn and i love to learn. bea
