Greetings gang... First, thanks to all of you for your continued support and enthusiasm for the stuff I do. While it *is* fun, knowing that you find it of some value is icing on the cake. This image is a WIP shot of the Minipack #7, which is in development. This uses elements of MP4, and MP5, which is on the verge of being released. Towers and Walls are MP5, small thatched roof house is MP4. all else is the "Waterfront" MP7. There are several more figures in MP7, but I couldn't fit them in here. The water bites, but it's just a quick and dirty addition of a jpg to the ground plane for sake of a render. I'm looking into the best way to add a tileable volumetric water figure to the scene. Comments and criticisms as always are most welcome. Also looking for 1 or 2 beta testers for these things. If you're interested, email or site mail me. I just need one or two, so first come, first picked. Regards and thanks, Liteluvr

Lots of story potential there. Um, what happened to MP6?

liteluvr posted Mon, 08 December 2003 at 2:44 PM

LOL.... MP 6 is in the final stages of wrapping up. It's the courtyard set that I've mentioned in earlier posts.

Excellent!

Here's another view with the Warraok Kitt vessel added. I just had to have it since I started working on this dockside kit. Very nice piece of modeling, and I recommend it highly. Still working on the water object, but this is getting closer.

love this..going to have to check out the ship :)

As always, I look forward to your items. Couple of comments: It would be nice if you could (somehow) make the warf portion a separate Poser item from the walls and such. There are a lot of people out there with lots of buildings (I think) that might like to have the option of just using the warf by itself. Also, almost everything looks like it's made for defense which (perhaps) makes that thatched-rook outcrop building sort of out of place. I mean, walls, iron gates, defensive walls, and in the middle, there's a building with a balcony overlooking it all. You're choice, of course, and I'll buy it regardless. A lot of "Vue" people will love this!

liteluvr posted Tue, 09 December 2003 at 6:43 AM

Heh heh... waaaay ahead of you... this is just a big bunch of building blocks... each section of stone dock, wooden pier, building, etc. is a separate figure. I just happened to assemble them this way. I'll do another one today and post it so you can see what I mean. BTW, here's the above scene from a different angle, with darker water.

ChuckEvans posted Tue, 09 December 2003 at 6:59 AM

Great news! BTW, I was working on a Vue scene and trying to make a "waterfront" scene with booleans (UGH!) and gave up. To be frank about it, it was with Billy's stuff (I'm sure you know who I mean...I buy all his stuff and all your stuff...as should anyone interested in there period pieces). So, this set is right on time! Also, I forgot to mention your texturing on the waterline...perfect!

You could always just send them to Renderotica to buy a smart-propped cannon-substitute.
