I've been creating some archectiture, buildings, houses etc in Wings3D and trying to import them into Vue 4.2...
I've tried exporting the models from Wings as both 3DS and OBJ formats....BUT they appear all distorted when I import them into VUE...
Is anyone here having this problem with Wings3D & Vue ?
What modeller are the regulars using here for VUE ???
TIA

I don't use Wings, but I have heared from some users that they have a problem too. Sorry to be unable to help here. You may ask yjis question in the Wings forum. there are some Vue users. Some of us have purchased a modeler, but in our Backroom (free software) you find lots of free modelers. Guitta

I export lots of models from Wings to Vue 4 and have not had any problems, do you check the box in WIngs export dialogue that says Vue d'Esprit workaround. If you already do that then I would have no other answer, it could simply be because you have a different make of computer to mine. I have found it so frustrating at times that different set-ups have different quirks, what somebody else does on their computer doesn't neccesarily work on mine. If you still can't sort it out, why not try the Renderosity Wings forum, or Wings own forum, they may have some answers. Dave

There are alot of problems importing into Vue. You have just skimmed the surface.

Axhands, do you mean problems with importing to Vue in general or from Wings specifically? If the latter, I must only have "skimmed the surface" too, because exporting as an OBJ file with the Vue Workaround box checked and electing to export with separate materials enabled, like Dave I have so far (in my admittedly limited experience) had no problems.
