I'm still using Vue3...haven't done much 3d work for a while so I haven't gotten around to buying Vue 4, I still wonder if its worth it. Well...I was wondering, does anyone know a good technique whether in Vue or Photoshop to create falling snow...very light, falling snow? I'm trying to do a scene where its from an aerial view, not right above but a perspective aerial view. I don't want a repeated pattern, maybe modeling this in Rhino would be a possibility? I have no idea where to start, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In the Vue 3 User Guide, page 209, you have a description of how to create rain. The technic is exactly the same for falling snow. If you need more help, just post again. Guitta

In the Vue 4 User Guide, page 269 is the tutorial/guide for simulating rain. It even says on #8 in the list "The same technique could of course be used to generate snow." I didn't see this though until after seeing a snowglobe by Polax. He used rocks and edited the material. I did it that way for a scene and liked the results. Just have to put lots and lots and lots (did I say lots!) of rocks. Will try the book way next time. :)

Ciorstaidh, this is for Vue 4. JMFx33 wanted to know how to do it in Vue 3!! The Vue 4 user Guide would not be very helpful to him:-)

Real easy creating snow in vue thats falling...Vue even has a mat for it u use it with cylanders :)
