lol ok......I started working on a grandfather clock....and about half way through...i thought.... hmmmm this looks an aweful lot like it could be..... a curio cabinet? a gun case? LOL right now in the rendered version, its really both....it has the braces for guns, and a floating cup to show the glass better...heh modeled in wings, rendered in bryce... prolly gonna put this in freestuff soon as i get everything tossed together.... still have a TON to add to the clock model to get it to where i want it...lol then IT can go in the store...lol if anyone wants, i can show ya how far i got on it so far....the basic frame is done, still need to add alot of whosits and whatsits and doodlydads and whatchamacallits....lol

Nice one Jen.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the great comments.. now..to figure out how to make lil swirlie thingies in wings.....hmmmmmmmm thought about doing them in bryce, then exporting as 3ds to keep the whole model a 3ds file....but the poly counts are too huge... one of these days, i really gotta read a tutorial or 100 LOL Jen

I had a gun case similar to that when I lived in Alaska. Just make it a wider and place a couple of rifles in it. cheers

Man, Jen, that's great! I'm totally impressed. I've tried to get the hang of some of the modeling programs like Wings but I'm just not getting it. Maybe when I'm on Christmas break I can get some serious practice in...along with about a million other things I need to do.

Ardiva posted Mon, 15 December 2003 at 9:11 PM

Don't fret, eelie. I still can't figure out how to 'bend/curve' a straight line in Bryce. LOL!!

JC_01 posted Mon, 15 December 2003 at 9:57 PM

lol thanks everyone..these type really aren't that hard...just alot of bumping, extruding, beveling, insetting and a TON of moving...lol here's what i got so far of the clock, is anyone's interrested.... I still have to get all the clock into it tho to make it look like a clock..hahahah but i have a feeling that may take a lil longer... Jen
