Hmm..I uploaded another of my works ( A Grecian Moment) a short time ago and it's showing up with the dreaded "red x". Is there a problem?
tjohn posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 11:54 AM
I can't see either the thumb or the image, just the red x, like yourself.
This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Not coming up for me either, not even after a "show picture" click.

Change the file name, that sometimes works.

I changed the filenames. but nada! Also the one entry before me is not showing up either. AgentSmith??rickymaveety posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 12:39 PM
It's not just the Bryce Gallery. None of the images are showing up in the main gallery, so I think something is wrong across the board. Don't sweat it .... I'm sure they'll fix it and your image will show up.

same thing happened to me too.... I just deleted it entirely.... nice to know it wasn't just me, or something I had done wrong... :o)
Ardiva posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 1:00 PM
Well, it looks like this is happening to just the ones that are uploaded Dec 17. I'm going to leave mine there. Tired of deleting and re-uploading. LOL!!

There's been a problem all day with uploading images in the gallerys and forums.
drawbridgep posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 2:24 PM
and it was all running so smoothly for weeks and weeks. I noticed my selected images on my home page were x'd out.

I myself have more than a few missing...As the link above states, we'll each have to "edit" those missing uploads, re-inserting the thumb and main picture. AS

electroglyph posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 3:25 PM
I checked my page. Everything in the middle is gone. The good news is I went through some of the challenge archives at random. Those seem to be intact. Ditto for some old forum messages with pictures. Hopefully its just the galleries.
JC_01 posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 3:25 PM
Ardiva, under your picture in Your gallery, there's an edit button, click that, then upload it again, as well as the thumbnail

JC..I keep my original gallery images including the thumbnails in a special folder I named: "4Renderosity". That helps me alot! smile
AgentSmith posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 3:48 PM
Yup, the "edit" link underneath each of your own thumbnails is your friend, lol. If you ever want to go so far as to save your comments...you can (in Internet Explorer) bring up one of your main pics, and click to; File>Save As>Save as type: Web Archive, single file (*mht) This will save any one complete webpage as a single file on your hard drive, where you can view it anytime, without having to be connected to the internet. I actually just use this feature to save my IM Archive on my pc. AgentSmith

Big Sigh. One of those cases where there's nothing we can do apart from upload the images again. And maybe sell the powers that be a backup system.

AgentSmith posted Wed, 17 December 2003 at 7:39 PM
I DO hope that means members will be getting back all their pics (or, at least, most). Mine isn't so bad, maybe 10 pics missing, but some like Zhann has like 90 missing... Wait and see. AS

Wish I had. Does seem like a bad dream now. I read through some of the other forums and people were outraged because they use R'osity as a backup for their images!! I'm sorry, but HELLO!!

AgentSmith could you answer a question for me please. Did you receive a couple of IM's I sent you last week? It doesn't look like you did and the last time I asked in another thread you didn't answer. I feel like I've been sent to coventry, if you know what I mean. 8) Catlin

catlin_mc posted Thu, 18 December 2003 at 4:05 PM
ysvry it means you are not being talked to by anyone, grin, although in this case that's not what's happening. 8) In the UK it is a term for folk who have done something wrong and are being ignored by the populace. It's not a nice thing to happen and I'm thankful that everyone still talks to me here, so I can't have done anything wrong. lol 8) Catlin BTW, I wasn't being serious when I said that to AS, jk. 8)
drawbridgep posted Fri, 19 December 2003 at 11:31 AM
During the English civil war, Birmingham was strongly Paliramentarian. The citizens were aware of a small group of loyalists in their midst. Some of these were exiled to nearby Royalist Coventry. But this isn't a great explanation, since by being sent to coventry, they were esentially set free. Coventry can't have been THAT bad. Another explanation was that there was a garrison in Coventry, but the young girls of the village weren't allowed to talk to the soldiers. So the army boys hated being sent there. Is anyone actually reading this? Thought not. I'll shut up now.
