Is it possible to use Kaydara's Motion Builder with Poser? If so, is there a thread or tutorial to do it?

Forget it!! you may be able to import some of the BVH files from motionbulder to poser but poser does NOT and likely never will support the FBX import/export format.

I am not exactly using Poser with MB, just the meshes. Poser is an awesome mesh resource. But I could not use it as a professional animation tool with wasting time unnecessarily fixing quirks in motion. Basically, you must learn a program like 3dsMax, which I did. Then master rigging in Physique . There are other mesh deformers like the Skin Modifier, & BonesPro, but save yourself some trouble & choose Physique, which attaches the mesh to the bone/skeleton, which you do the actual animation onto. Motionbuilder is an incredible program. Max's renderer is way better than Poser's, way faster, & the Vray rendering plugin better yet. Not only can you actually use Global Illumination for animations in Vray, but it permits a network to render together on a single frame. If you are serious, email me at angrymobb@comcast.net for more info.

markdc pusblishes a good PDF on going from MotionBuilder to Poser to MotionBuilder. The process is no picnic, but doable. http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.ez?Who=markdc Scroll down on his page, you will see the link to the PDF I just purchased Motion Builder and am eagerly awaiting shippment, hope to spend Christmas deeply emersed in it. ::::: Opera :::::
