I'm trying to render a tree against a simple black background but can't seem to figure out how.

Can you be more clear please? What exactly is your problem?

I want to render a tree against a solid black background. When I open Vue and click on New it gives me many different Atmosphere options but none are solid black.

The one I have used above is called BLACK BLACK from the "OTHERS" atmospheres

"Black, Black" does the sky. If you want the the entire background Black, just delete the ground. I don't know how to get solid colors other than Black or White.

Phil, to get a background in another color, just follow the Thread:-) BTW, delating the ground is NOT a solution:-)
