Greetings, I have just started a thread in the new DAZ|Studio Forum inquiring whether folks in the SF Bay Area would like a party, just like the ones I've thrown for Poser users: a chance to get together, talk, nibble, hug, laugh... and maybe mention the program a couple of times in the middle of serious discussion about cats and gardening and spelunking and ... ;^) (I'm posting here, because I know that there won't be heavy traffic in the other forum until after the application is released.) Anyway, please let me know your desires in this matter. The link goes to the new thread. Carollyookami posted Thu, 18 December 2003 at 6:16 AM
I've got me a computer, it's as big as a whale... and I'm heading on down to the Poser Shack! Poser Shack, Baby!

I'd love to come to the SF Bay Area but unfortunately I'm in the UK. It would be such fun to meet all you folks who are as mad about Poser as I am. Hope you have a whale of a time and all I can do is think of you all having fun. Best wishes 8) Catlin

And we'd like to meet you, too! That is the best part about getting together. :)

Genny, We'll see what the timing looks like. I hope that you can make it again. It might be up at Kate's this time, so having a sunny day would be best. (As much as she loves to barbecue, I don't think she does it in the rain. I have seen people make s'mores in the rain, though.) Carolly

Pfft. What's a little rain? Isn't that why they invented umbrellas? So people could BBQ in the rain? giggle Can't you just see it? Jim out there holding a big umbrella over the BBQ while I flip burgers and ribs? Kate the Silly

Actually, I CAN see it. Jim's a nice guy. Carolly

I didn't actually realize that you were in the bay area. I lived in the Noe Valley for a little while. I'm in Sacramento, now.

well, I'm in the tennessee valley, but that's a good ways away:) Hope y'all have a good time. Be sure to post photos so's we can see just how much fun you had:) Sounds like fun.....can you really run poser from inside a deep earthen cave? eric

FrenchToast, Sacramento isn't that far away! It would be a good excuse for coming back down and checking out old haunts. :) Eric, You don't need to be connected to the Internet to run Poser (although it does help with downloads and general sharing with the rest of the world). I suspect that Little Dragon is probably an expert at routing complex wiring through caverns filled with stalagmites and other sharp edges, so a nice soft bit of earthwork ought not to be a problem.
