Is it just me or does the Veronika Vixxxen 2004 for V3 look like the Sara Spriteling from Daz?? Thanks, Marque

Heh... I was wondering when someone would ask this question. I've been pondering this same thought.

Looks to be an exact duplicate.

sarah spriteling has a smaller figure, she also has an elf option that makes her a lot shorter and gives her elf ears, veronica vixxen has larger breasts and long legs options, the faces look similar,i have them both and love them both :)

here is a quick render i did to compare the 2 in case anyones interested :)nothing special, just a quick throw them in there and render..lol....both have the same v3 hi res textures..the top 2 faces are sarah spriteling, one human,1 elf,the botton one is veronica vixxen, the top body image veronica is the taller one, sarah with the instant elf pose applied, there are also some scale poses to make her smaller still,in the bottom body pic they are in the same places but sarah has the instant human pose applied :)

Thanks, don't think I want to spend more money on a char that looks almost the same, though she is nice. Marque

Thank you Shazz! I've been admiring Sarah since she made her first appearence at DAZ. =) Just haven't quite got around to putting her in my cart yet. LOL What I'm wondering is how that works having two products that are almost identical. I mean unless it is the same person selling the product at DAZ and here. What I'm thinking is this...my grandpa is an entertainer and he owns the copyright and trademark to the group he is in. Now, there have been several instances of groups using very similar names to grandpa's group, and they were informed that they were under copyright and trademark infringement. The groups had to change their names. So, I realize this is a whole different thing, Poser models and musicians, but wouldn't it still be kinda the same? I'm asking out of curiosity and as a future merchant (maybe). =)

it is sold by the same person LovePyrs, wyrmmaster created both sarah spriteling and veronica vixxxen :) he has a store here and he is a broker at daz,not sure if its mr AND mrs wyrmmaster at daz but mr definately :D

LovePyrs posted Thu, 18 December 2003 at 11:58 AM

Thanks again, Shazz. I was looking the other day to see who created the one at DAZ, but I couldn't find who it was brokered by. =) Appreciate the information very much. Oh, and to clarify something in my previous post, grandpa owns the trademark of the name, not the copyright since you can't copyright names, slogans, or phrases. =)

I assume the biggest difference would be different naming on the magnets allowing for both Sarah and Veronika to be used without crosstalk. Same basic thing goes for all WyrmMaster characters.

Have them both & love them both. I had thought they looked the same also. Not so. Plus, the Veronica kit provides the artist the ability to "sculpt",almost like sculpting in clay (I also sculpt in clay). With the packs 105 Deformers and 17 "remote Controls" it's quite easy to sculpt her, face, neck, chest, breasts, hips, waist, buttocks, thighs and legs with ease to "your" likes and pleasure. On top of that you can tailor most conforming clothing to a highly morphed Veronica with a click. You can also tailor her shoes and props. Probably forgetting something. Anyway, I'm starting to sound like a car salesman. As I said, I love both products, but my personal feeling is, that wyrmmaster has taken excellent concepts & products and made them even more Excellent in his VeronicaVixxxen pack and I would assume his whole 2004 Vixxxen line!!

In addition to what Strixowl said, the breasts can be maneuvered to better fit your pose. It is most definitely NOT the same product. I have both, and I can assure you that both characters are very different. When you purchase a VV Dynamic Deformer kit, you are not just purchasing a charcater. This is a set of body shaping and manipulation tools that also allow you to fit most clothing with just one click. The VVX kit has further enhancements to adjust clothing to fit properly, like the area between the breasts. Most morphs, and previous versions of the VV line deformed the clothing to the near exact body shape, including the clothing area between the breasts becoming close fitting to the figure. Now, with the use of tools called "remotes", you can adjust not only the individual body part shapes, but also adjust the clothing. This is an AMAZING product. Sarah Spriteling is another one that I could not live without. While VVX will give you that voluptuous hourglass figure, the Sarah Spriteling will give you a wonderful petite to tiny character, breast sizes ranging from graceful mounds, to neat, sweet, and petite. Wyrmmaster's deformers are tool kits. The character faces, and preset body shapes are a nice bonus for ease of use, but the tools are invaluable. I rarely bother with body morphs any more, and only use them if the clothing itself requires it.

I thought Dark Wisper created Sara?

Momcat posted Thu, 18 December 2003 at 5:51 PM

Sara by Dark Whisper, and Sarah Sproteling by Wyrmmaster are two different sets. Sara by DW is an original toon figure. Sarah Spriteling is a Dynamic Deformer and character kit for Victoria 3.

Thanks for putting me right Momcat. 8)

Put what I said & what Momcat said together and I believe you've got a real good idea. Yes,Wyrmmaster's deformers are tool kits more than Character packs though you can inject the body/face and use as is, if you want. No textures in the kits by the way.
