You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I don't have any of my real early renders. At the time I was trying out different techniques and getting used to the software. All the images were WIP, so I never kept them for longer than a week or so. I experimented with lights, poses, camera angles and focus, composition, textures, you name it. I started in 3D around April 2002. The first pic I felt happy enough with to post was "BlackFlame", still here in my gallery. Posted Dec 10, 2002. As far as I'm aware it's the oldest render I have. I used (and still use) P4PP. The computer is the same machine, too. Athlon 1800+ 1GB RAM.

Well, I'm not sure if this was my very first, but if it wasn't, it was close. It wasn't that long ago, actually - rendered in Pro Pack, a little over a year ago. It was for the cover of a fanzine. Actually, I didn't want an angel on the cover, didn't think it would work, and thought a quick and dirty Poser render would prove my point. Unfortunately, it had the opposite effect -- everyone liked it so much they insisted on using it. :-P I was really impressed by kalisperas' first render, BTW. It's pretty elaborate for a first effort. I am convinced that there are so many NVITWAS pics because so many newbies can't figure out how to dress her...JenniSjoberg posted Sun, 21 December 2003 at 9:48 AM

I'm not posting my first, but here's my second:
That's one of Questor's Terminator endoskeletons. In retrospect, I'm amazed that I successfully completed that render, given the mesh's high polycount and my underpowered system at the time.
Yes, I was experimenting with animation from the very beginning ....

Here's my first real Poser render. Most of what is in this picture I modeled myself in the Play version of Amorphium. :)capsces posted Sun, 21 December 2003 at 12:01 PM

The first rendered output I had was from a demo of Poser3 and I didn't save it. This is the first image I actually completed and put up that had some Poser in it; (Bryce render, Poser3 head, everything else built in Ray Dream). http://home.earthlink.net/~nomuse/brycepages/bigoutrage.JPG

I haven't got the history that everybody else has, but this was the first image I did for Halloween this year. Since I'm trying to keep things simple, it's a complete image rendered in Poser 5 with a quick Photoshop color adjustment and a painted shadow under the arm.My visual indexes of Poser
