Are you using raytraced shadows?

I have had this effect before when using a prop which isn't of a high enough resolution. It may be that the prop doesn't have enough resolution? Have you tried applying a reflection-map instead of raytrace, and see how that comes out?

How do I tell if it's high enough resolution? And how do I do reflection maps? LOL I've used both, Stewer, with the same result. This image here doesn't have raytraced shadows.

I posted this problem several months ago - there was no solution - and I tried everything suggested - I finally skipped the picture. May be somebody can solve it now. Mungo

The gun is not made from double-sided polygons, I hope?

Heres the link to the old problem - does it disappear when you switch shadows off ? Mungocaulbox posted Mon, 22 December 2003 at 1:53 PM
