Hey all. I'm looking at new systems, does Poser make efficient use of a dual processor system, or is it better to just get the fastest single proc. system I can? Thanks! Michael See our Poser Announcers discuss the West/Antir War! http://www.bigtimeweb.com

It doesn't make efficent use of a dual processor system. You can multi-task very nicely on one, however.

I'm very new to this, so I may simply be doing something wrong; but I have one of the new Mac G4s; Poser works pretty well on it, but it did crash when I tried to work with more than 5 characters at the same time. As far as multitasking, when I have tried it with Poser up, the computer told me I didn't have enough memory. I recommend the new G4s, though-- the optical mouse is really cool...

Hmm, I usually have Poser 4, Cinema 4D XL, Word, Netscape and Hotmetal Pro running at once. But then I run it on NT4.

NT4 can do that the thing about the G4 is you have to get allot more memory installed the RAM kind. in order to be able to do what you want to do

for poser get the most memory and fastest cpu possible...a big HD is handy too but video cards aren't a big issue, though a better one speeds things up a bit.........Steve
